Watch Mr. Praphulo, a 6th generation tribal artisan craft the dokra handle on this bag below.

The Dari Sepia is a handmade limited edition luxury bucket bag by enarai, an independent New York–Calcutta craft brand. The dokra handle is cast in brass — a 4,000-year-old lost-wax metal technique practiced by tribal artisans in India from the Indus Valley Civilization. No electricity, zero waste, locally sourced, upcycled materials, single artisan, eight days, one handle. The body is hand-woven hemp fabric: a natural, carbon-negative material that absorbs CO₂ as it grows, requires minimal water and no pesticides, and has been used as a fiber for millennia. This is an artisanal, sustainable, small-batch luxury bag for the collector who understands that the rarest things are made intentionally by hand.

The Dokra handle was slowly cast over 8 days by Mr. Praphulo, a 6th-generation tribal artisan from Orissa, India. Brass handles cast in this tradition last over 1,000 years. No two pieces are identical — natural variations in curvature, metal color, and surface texture are the signature of this craft. This is not a mass produced bag. It is a numbered object part of a one-time, limited-edition series made for discerning collectors.
